Changelog
Release notes and updates for Nimbalyst.
Changed
- Tracker views placed in a page can be resized from a grip in the bottom-right corner, and a table without a set height fits its rows.
- The tracker reference preview card on desktop shows the item's summary, its key fields, and what it links to.
- Pages is now called Wiki: the Knowledge skills are /wiki:setup and /wiki:update, `nim wiki` works like `nim pages`, and agents on a wiki page are pointed at /wiki:update.
Fixed
- Agents on desktop can list past the first 100 wiki pages.
- The new shared doc location picker in the Wiki shows the same pages, typed pages and types as the sidebar tree, and defaults to the open page.
- Tracker reference chips bold the item's name instead of its key, and no longer show a raw internal ID for types without an issue key.
- Moving a session under a new parent no longer sends "moved by the user" notes to old sessions or wakes them when the session-tree update runs.
- Open in browser on a shared document opens the web console again instead of doing nothing.
Added
- Sessions now form nested trees on desktop and mobile, with drag-to-reassign, Undo, subtree activity summaries, and an optional compact one-line view.
- Pages: plain pages have a status, owner, summary and tags, and can move between Personal and Team.
- Pages: swipe two fingers on the trackpad to go Back and Forward.
- Pages: copy a file from disk, including drawings, mind maps and other editor files, into Team or Personal pages with Copy to Pages... in Files or Add from Files... in Pages; agents can import files the same way.
- Pages: `@` in a Personal page links your Personal pages and embeds Personal drawings and other editor pages; `@` in a local file also lists Team and Personal pages.
- Agents can edit drawings, mind maps, data models and other editor pages in Pages with those editors' tools, without the page open.
- Custom Claude models defined under `modelPicker` in Claude's settings now appear in the Claude Code model picker and are sent to your gateway by name.
- Claude Haiku 5.5 is available in Claude Agent and Claude Chat; Haiku 4.5 stays selectable.
Changed
- The extension dev menu lists stale extensions and can reinstall them individually or together.
- The extension build tool runs pnpm for extension projects that use pnpm.
- Knowledge setup asks about your goals and creates a Home page with linked starter pages.
- Pages: save named views, configure them with compact tracker-style controls, open them full-size, create items, find typed-page decisions, and recover failed edits; Home stays user-authored and the type map supports pan and zoom.
- Removed vendor branding from embedded tracker tables in Pages.
- 2x2 charts can be resized by selecting them like an image, and their labels no longer run off the chart or overlap each other.
- Shared markdown links show 2x2 charts and Mermaid diagrams as images instead of their source.
- Pages and shared documents use one header layout, with a clickable path, history, and a ⋯ menu that has the page's sidebar actions (rename, move, new page inside, favorite, trash, copy as Markdown, export to PDF).
Fixed
- Git Output no longer jumps to the bottom while reading earlier output.
- Fixed a terminal that could stop showing output after restoring its saved history.
- Excalidraw drawings embedded in a document no longer show the menu and bottom toolbar until the embed is selected.
- Team tracker items opened right after launch no longer open in local mode before your organization finishes loading.
- Effort and Actions menus now support typeahead like the model picker.
- Tracker table cells for people and select fields open the field chips' choice list with type-to-filter, instead of a plain text box for people or a native menu.
- Pages with citations no longer fail to load with an editor update loop.
- Fixed clicking a decided or open-question chip in Pages, the Mark open question toolbar button, and the chip not updating after switching a mark between decided and open.

- Fixed security issues in YAML metadata, extension archives, file-pattern matching, Git operations, MCP connections, proxy address handling and development tooling.
- Fixed formatting loss on other clients when undoing collaborative text deletion.
- Fixed a crash when stopping an active local database worker.
- Kept transcript reading position stable when content above the viewport grows.
- Restored edge styling in Mermaid flowcharts.
- Agent edits to a 2x2 chart in a markdown file now show in the editor as a reviewable change instead of leaving the old chart in place.
- Improved MCP connection reliability while tools await a response.

- Improved reliability of repeated Anthropic chat requests by releasing completed-request listeners.
- Fixed a tracker crash when a person has no display name.
- Reduced startup time spent re-reading settings while scanning extensions and resolving teams.
- Sessions launched from an action now get a descriptive name instead of keeping the action's label.
- On iOS and Android, the session list no longer briefly shows only phone- and automation-created sessions when the app returns to the foreground.

- Pages: Home, Search and Types in each section; Search covers page titles and text, Types shows a map or table, and New type works without an agent.
- Pages: a Personal section that works offline with no account or team.
- Pages in the web console, and the `nimbalyst-pages` Claude Code plugin and `nim pages` CLI for team pages.
- Agents can list, search, create, place, reorder, retype and edit pages, cite the session, and read another team project's pages by name.
Changed
- Shared Docs mode is now Pages; it opens on Home, shows only the current project, and the Shared documents list is replaced by Search.
- Clicking a page opens it in the current tab; Cmd+click opens a new tab, with per-tab Back and Forward (Cmd+[ / Cmd+]).

- Claude Code: a follow-up message runs right away while a background command is still running.
- Agents can update or archive a tracker item that is missing an unrelated required field.
- Pages deleted by an agent, or with child pages from the sidebar, go to Trash instead of being deleted permanently.
- Team tracker sync starts even when one item has a backlog of unsent edits too large to load; oversized edits are refused with an error.

- iOS: the "Sync interrupted" notice clears on reconnect and is less intrusive.
- Windows: projects directly under a drive root can send prompts.
Removed

- Session history marks sessions that launched other sessions with an icon and launch-count tooltip.
- GPT-6 Astra can be selected for Codex sessions, with its Ultra reasoning level.

Changed
- Project Memory now indexes agent instructions and personal memory as separate sources, can use an optional on-device embedding model, and reports semantic-search readiness accurately.
Fixed
- Rapid edits to a shared CSV spreadsheet in the web console no longer let an older asynchronous save overwrite the latest cell value.
- SQLite migration no longer times out while copying large document histories (#1452).
- The effort selector offered reasoning levels the selected Codex model does not accept; choosing Max on those models ran at xHigh without saying so.
- A tool call to an extension that stopped responding waited forever instead of failing, leaving the agent stuck with nothing in the logs.
- A Codex session's name, tags, or phase could silently stop updating when the agent's tool call was dropped in transit; the update is now re-applied.
Added
- Database Settings can recover preserved database copies and explain migration blocks, while recovery and rollback keep the original data intact across restarts.
- Radar gives shared trackers a since-you-left digest of teammate activity, status moves, bulk sweeps, and stalled work in desktop and the web console.
- The Git panel's Changes tab can show every repository in the project at once, each with its own file list and commit box.
- Display Settings can show a tracker's Type column as the type's name instead of its icon.
- The menu bar sessions panel can mark every unread session as read at once.

- A `.deb` download for Debian and Ubuntu, which starts on Ubuntu 24.04 and later where the AppImage is blocked by AppArmor's user-namespace restriction.
Changed
- Commit with AI now proposes one commit per repository when your changes span several, so you approve each one separately and each gets its own message.
Fixed
- Cmd/Ctrl+Alt+1-9 switched tabs instead of applying the heading level while editing (#1429).
- Pull requests were missing from the Git panel when the project is a fork checkout; they now list against the upstream repository (#1439).
- The Git tab jumped back to the previously selected repository when you switched between repositories in a multi-repository project.
- Interrupting a turn could let the next queued prompt start alongside the priority prompt that replaced it (#1018).
- Claude Code CLI sessions ignored the custom Claude executable path in settings and reported Claude as not installed (#1296).
- `tracker_get` left out an item's archived state and its comments (#1224).
- A file a child session edited several times was listed once per edit in the parent's Files modified list (#1244).
- A background task that finished mid-turn produced no visible follow-up turn, and every tool call in it that needed permission was denied without asking.
- A queued prompt containing CJK text could have Enter land mid-paste in a Claude CLI session; an undelivered prompt is now reported as failed instead of marked complete (#1387).
- Animation MP4 exports finish again, and completed HTML, MP4 and GIF exports are revealed in Finder or Explorer.
- A Vite build error in development no longer covers the top of the screen through the macOS menu bar island.
- Document sync could delete markdown files from your workspace, including files tracked in git.
- Sync connection errors wrote your authentication token to the application log in plain text.
- Committing changes that spanned repositories reported files as committed that were never committed, and showed only the first repository's commit hash.
- Approving a commit from your phone failed outright when the changes spanned repositories, including the files that could have been committed.
- A session running in a worktree silently left out changes in the project's attached folders when committing.
- Cmd+B bolds text again when you are typing in an editor, instead of toggling the sidebar.
- Typing in a markdown file no longer stutters each time it autosaves in a workspace with a large tracker.
- A session that had previously reached the complete phase stayed out of the menu bar's Running list for the whole of its next turn.
- Opening a session on iOS could show another session's transcript under the correct title.
- Applying a heading with Ctrl+Alt+1 through 3 in the editor no longer also jumps to the matching tab on Linux and Windows (#353).
- Clicking a markdown link to a file in the same folder did nothing unless the document sat at the top level of the project.
- Answers typed into an agent's question were lost if you scrolled the conversation far enough to move the question out of view before submitting.
- Worktrees of a project opened through a symlink did not inherit the project's agent permissions, so every tool call asked for approval again.
- Tracker rows of a custom type showed a blank Type column instead of the icon the type declares.
- Opening a project from the Project Manager did nothing when the window that project was opened in had since switched to a different project.
- The New Worktree keyboard shortcut did nothing on macOS.
- A tracker item whose title contains a comma showed as two separate values in a relationship column.
- Starting an OpenCode session could wait five minutes before recognizing a server that was already healthy.
- The Cmd+Shift+K shortcut for the kanban view did nothing.
- Waking from sleep could start a second full database backup while one was still running, so both failed; the backup copies setting now also applies to databases still on PGLite.
- Two dollar amounts on different lines of the same paragraph in a chat message rendered as math.
- A tracker item closed by a commit recorded the close in its activity with no author and a timestamp the timeline could not order, and repeated closes merged into one entry when the item synced.
Added
- Claude Fable 5.1 is now available in the model picker, with Fable 5 kept as a selectable previous-generation option.
- A project can span several folders: attach one from the File menu or quick open and it appears in the explorer, in search, and to your agents, with git status, branches and commits tracked per repository.
- Quick open's Files tab can narrow to just your local files or just your team's shared documents, and remembers the choice.
- A workstream's context menu can mark every session in it as read at once.
- `/planning:nimbalyst-coach` reviews your project and recent sessions and suggests extensions that match your files, features you have not tried, and instructions worth adding, changing nothing until you approve it.
Changed
- The title bar now carries two create buttons: one on the left that makes a new file, shared doc or tracker item in the list you are looking at, with a menu of every type it can create, and one on the right that starts a new session.
- Accepting a team invitation now opens your team in the browser and lands you on its documents, instead of asking you to download the desktop app first; the app is offered alongside it for the work only it can do.
- Inviting someone now asks what they get — their role, any extra projects, and folders to share with the team — so a new teammate arrives to real work instead of an empty organization.
- Shared documents in the web console can be opened as editable source text, so a document its editor cannot render is still reachable in the browser.
Fixed
- Agent edits to a file already open in diff mode could be reverted by an autosave or freeze at an old version; repeated writes now stay ordered, accept/reject and manual save can no longer overwrite newer content, and large documents keep their approval bar.
- A canvas board holding a sticky or an image card you had not filled in yet could not be saved, read by an agent, or opened as source.
- Phone-started sessions now run on one desktop instead of starting duplicate agents across every connected install.
- `nim tracker show` no longer presents linked work, triage metadata, or derived signals as custom fields.
- Cmd+N in Shared Docs opened the local new-file dialog instead of creating a shared document, and did nothing in the tracker.
- A command an agent ran in the background was killed about five minutes after its turn ended; one can now run for up to 30 minutes.
- Changing the theme laid a large opaque rectangle across the top of the screen behind the menu bar island, and flattened the menu bar panel's translucency.
- Project-knowledge search now falls back to the local keyword index when semantic matching is unavailable instead of presenting a credential setup error.
- Opening a markdown file with a pending AI edit could lock up the app for half a minute and then show no diff at all; very large files now skip the inline highlighting and go straight to the approve/reject bar.
- A shared tracker item could arrive with no issue key at all, leaving it unreachable by `Fixes NIM-123`, by deep link, and by key lookup; new items keep the key they are given and existing ones get theirs back.
- The tracker's Display Settings — view, grouping, ordering and sort — are now remembered per tracker type, so grouping bugs by status no longer regroups every other tracker (#1412).
- A compaction that failed left no way forward: the transcript showed a bare error and the Compact button stayed stuck on "Compacting..."; it now reports the failure with the error that caused it and lets you retry (#1414).
- Clicking a desktop notification from a session running in a worktree reported that the session could not be found in its originating project; it now opens the session.
- Typing in quick open over an open spreadsheet lost everything after the first letter to the selected cell.
- A session working through a long build or test run dropped out of the menu bar's Running list after fifteen minutes and was labelled as not responding until its turn ended.
- Worktree actions were greyed out inside a git repository until another part of the app happened to check first.
- A Claude Code turn that ended in an error completed twice, so its token usage and turn-end snapshot were dropped.
Added
- The macOS menu bar shows your session fleet: it names a session as it starts, finishes, blocks or fails, flags one that has stopped responding, and quiets to a single mark when nothing is running, with a settings row in the panel to turn any of it off.
- Your session fleet also reaches the iPhone Lock Screen and Dynamic Island as a Live Activity, ranked by how long each session has been waiting on you; tap one to open it.
- Quick Track (Cmd+Shift+I) files a tracker item of any type from anywhere in the app, offering similar existing items before you add a duplicate.
- Right-click a folder and choose "Share Folder to Team" to publish everything shareable inside it at once, mirroring its subfolders in the team space.
- Animations can show a spinning indicator for a running or loading state.
- The title bar names the Git command running right now, whoever started it, and the Git panel's Output tab marks the ones an agent ran.
Changed
- Grok Build sessions can answer questions and approve tool use while they run, reach your Nimbalyst tools, and use the model you picked.
- An animation plays inline in the agent transcript when an agent creates or edits it, as a click-to-activate stage rather than a plain file row.
- In the tracker table the Key cell is the open button; clicking any other cell just selects it, and double-click always means edit.
Fixed
- Extensions can store secrets on Windows again; secrets saved on macOS and Linux by earlier versions are picked up automatically.
- Files whose AI edits have already been committed no longer open with a leftover change count and review dot.
- Images an agent writes inside a session's worktree now open at full size instead of failing to load (#1343).
- The workspace picker marks a truncated markdown count as a lower bound instead of showing a confidently wrong number (#1376).
- A tool permission request that timed out or was dropped now says nobody answered it, instead of reporting a cancellation you never made (#1348).
- Images in a shared document now render in the web console instead of showing a broken-image placeholder.
- Sending a message to Grok Build, Cursor Agent or Gemini no longer fails with "Unknown provider".
- Grok Build and Cursor Agent report the tokens a session actually consumed, including cached input, instead of a fraction of it.
- The session model picker loads ahead of opening and uses cached results instead of blocking on provider discovery.
- Typing in a dialog while the tracker table is open no longer edits the selected cell.
- A tracker item's body is no longer cleared when the item's metadata syncs with your team.
- A tracker item can no longer drift onto an issue key that belongs to a different item.
- An API key left in your shell environment is no longer handed to the Codex or Copilot coding agents; only a key you configured in Nimbalyst settings is used.
- The Git panel's Refresh button now reloads the Changes tab's file list, instead of refreshing only the commit log and branch.
Added
- Grok Build and Cursor Agent as coding agents, each with settings, model picker, edited-file tracking and diff review.
- AI sessions can read and edit a shared document without it being open in a tab, including mockups, drawings and data models.
Changed
- Gemini is a built-in coding agent rather than an extension, with edited-file tracking and a model list from your account.
Fixed
- Reopening a Gemini session shows the tool calls it made instead of only the conversation.
- "Accept all" no longer refuses an AI edit by claiming the file changed on disk.
- Documents with a scalar status key in frontmatter render the frontmatter card instead of falling back to the raw text editor (#1392).
- Time trackers, screen readers, and other macOS accessibility tools now see the document you are actually viewing, instead of the last file you happened to open (#1375).
Added
- Author step-based technical animations in `.anim.json` files, with a live stage, scrubbable timeline, retiming, frames that draw real product UI under a palette the document owns, and MP4 or GIF export.
- An AI session can now build a Project Canvas board for you from a description, placing cards that reference real workspace files and shared documents.
- Animation and Project Canvas are now installable from the Extensions marketplace.
- A feedback request now previews the mockups it is about, not only the ones bound to individual options, for both the recipient and the author reading results.
- The author of a feedback request can open the session that composed it from the request's results.
Changed
- Project Canvas gains two-finger pan, Cmd+wheel zoom, click to select and double-click to activate, card resizing, and cards for existing files and shared documents.
- A feedback request now shows where its mockups will be published before you send, and puts them in a Feedback requests folder without opening a share dialog for each one.
- Tips in a new session's empty panel now rotate, so you work through the set over time instead of meeting the same card every launch.
Fixed
- Images attached to a Claude Code session reach the model again; since 0.75.1 every one was dropped without warning.
- Codex web search steps now finish in the transcript instead of sitting unresolved with empty arguments.
- Pressing Cmd+F while the find bar is already open now returns focus to the search field instead of closing the bar.
- iOS: tapping a notification now opens the session it was about, including on iPad and before that session has finished syncing to the device.
- A session no longer keeps showing "waiting for your response" once you have typed a new instruction instead of answering the question it asked.
- A mockup already shared with your team now reaches the recipient of a feedback request as the shared document, not a file path from the sender's machine.
- Sending a feedback request now happens once: the card stays sent when you scroll away and back, and pressing send again no longer creates a second request.
- A document link pasted into a team message or a shared document now becomes the document it names; links sent before this stay as text until you paste them again.
- Working out which organization your projects belong to no longer runs a git command per project each time it is checked, which could block the app for a second or more.
- A screenshot the AI takes with an explicit light or dark theme now shows an extension's editor working, instead of an error state where the extension could not reach its own tools.
Added
- Work your team's shared trackers from the web console in list, table, board, timeline and tag board, with search, filtering, grouping, column choice, inline editing, comments and drag-and-drop, converging live with the desktop app.
- Invite people to your organization from the web console, see who has not accepted yet, and resend or revoke a pending invitation.
- Open anything in the web console with Cmd+K, right-click a tracker row for its actions, and pick from the full set of Nimbalyst themes.
- A tracker now shows who else is viewing it.
- A feedback request comparing mockups now shows the designs themselves: preview every option, open one full size, and vote without leaving the request.
- A session that orchestrates other sessions can interrupt one to deliver an instruction immediately, instead of waiting for its current turn to finish.
- Project Canvas: an infinite canvas where every card is the real editor (markdown, mockup, spreadsheet, drawing, mindmap) live and editable in place. Drag a file or shared document from the sidebar onto the board, with sticky notes, frames, arrows, snapping, team comments and presence, agent activity, and revision pinning to compare. Works in the desktop app and the web console, and saves as an open `.canvas` file that reviews as a diff.
Changed
- The web console now reads as Nimbalyst rather than a separate admin tool, with the desktop app's header, navigation and controls, and a layout that holds up on a phone.
- The web console's Requests inbox now also carries mentions, replies, tracker comments and document discussions, each row saying what it is about rather than repeating the sender.
- Mockups and data models embedded in a document now render as the live editor instead of a saved screenshot, and existing embeds convert on open.
- Mockup project files open as a read-only preview with a "Convert to canvas" action, writing a new `.canvas` file beside the untouched original that holds the real MockupLM editor for each screen.
- Editing many tracker rows at once — pasting a range, or changing status or priority on a multi-row selection — now applies as a single update instead of one per row.
- Quick open now finds a tracker by its issue key or number and puts it at the top, instead of only ever ranking trackers by meaning.
- AI sessions take less disk: Nimbalyst stops recording progress counters and duplicate screenshots it never displays, and clearing old tool output now prunes existing sessions too (about 1 GB of a 5.6 GB database on one measured install).
- The Claude Code CLI provider is off unless you turn it on, and is no longer labelled "Subscription"; the Claude Agent, now marked recommended, already runs on your Claude subscription.
Fixed
- Code in the AI transcript no longer picks up stray backslashes before dollar signs, so a shell command you copy out of it still runs.
- A scheduled automation whose schedule was hand-edited into a shape Nimbalyst didn't expect no longer stops running for good; it repairs what it can and names what you need to fix.
- A tracker type now shows the same colour and icon everywhere it appears; decisions and features were drawn differently in the AI transcript than in the tracker itself.
- Searching quick open's trackers no longer closes the whole dialog with an error when any tracker item has no title.
- The inbox now names who sent each message instead of showing your teammates as "Unknown member".
- Saved views shared with your team no longer go missing from the tracker sidebar on startup.
- Sending a queued prompt while a background sub-agent is running no longer leaves the session stuck on "Thinking..." or later claims a sub-agent was interrupted when none was.
- Nimbalyst no longer removes items from your team's tracker when it can't tell which of your trackers are shared; it now holds off and tells you instead of assuming they were made private.
- Tracker items stuck on their way to your team now sync, including in projects you aren't focused on, and items on a no-longer-shared tracker stop being retried on every reconnect.
- Settings can now edit a built-in tracker type you have already customised; the edit button silently did nothing for those types.
- On a large database, the startup backup no longer stalls the app for about a minute and then reports failure when it had actually succeeded.
- Nimbalyst no longer freezes for seconds at a time during startup, while an AI session edits files, or while opening shared documents, switching projects, loading sessions, or resizing panes.
- OpenCode models you discover now show up in the session model picker and stay in Settings, instead of falling back to a fixed handful of built-in models; each project keeps its own list.
- Hiding a model in Settings now takes effect in the session model picker for OpenCode, Codex and Copilot, which previously ignored the setting.
- The web console now asks the server what you may do with a shared document instead of inferring it from your first edit, so commenters are no longer told they are read-only and viewers are no longer allowed to type.
Removed
- The `/datamodel` and `/Mockup` slash commands; embed either in a document the same way as any other file, by putting a link to it on its own line.
Added
- Commit with AI can stage individual hunks of a file, so parallel sessions editing the same file each commit only their own lines.
- Browse and triage GitHub issues beside pull requests, keeping your investigation status and notes local until you decide to adopt an issue as a tracker item.
Changed
- Codex sessions now run on the 0.149.1 Codex release.
Fixed
- Updated bundled dependencies to pick up published security fixes, including ones affecting the auto-updater and extension installation.
- Claude sessions on Windows no longer crash at start; if the agent process does die, Nimbalyst now says why and retries once instead of ending the turn on a bare exit code.
- Shared Home now shows who created and last edited each document instead of labelling your teammates "Unknown".
- Discarding old tool output now reclaims the gigabytes it previously reported as nothing, and says how much of the database its estimate actually sampled.
- An automation no longer overwrites a report the agent wrote itself, which had been silently replacing finished output with the session's closing message.
- Commit with AI now pre-selects the hunks your session actually wrote, instead of opening with every change in the file checked.
Added
- OpenCode sessions gain slash commands, Compact, agent roles, and a live model picker listing the models you are signed in for.
- Comment on a spot in a shared mockup: pins sync live, keep their place when an AI regenerates the mockup, and agents can read and reply.
- Trackers record what an item is waiting on, with a built-in Ready view listing unblocked work most-unblocking first.
- Right-click a tracker item to jump to the AI sessions working on it, or launch a new session or worktree for it.
- Creating an automation can set where its output goes, what the file is called, and whether it starts enabled.
Changed
- Calc Sheets mix narrative Markdown with calculations without treating prose as a formula error, and recognize `ln`.
- Find (Cmd+F) in Tracker Mode jumps to the search box.
- The feedback request list moved from Shared Docs to your organization, beside the Inbox.
Fixed
- Saving a file, opening a folder and switching sessions no longer hang for seconds at a time on a busy workspace.
- A tracker board with thousands of items now draws only the cards on screen.
- Offline team-tracker edits, including archives and deletes, reach the team as soon as you reconnect.
- Creating a published item while disconnected says the issue key is pending instead of claiming the workspace has no team.
- A disabled automation no longer keeps running on its schedule.
- Automations write to the output file name you configured instead of always writing `output.md`.
- Removing a team member or revoking their project access takes effect on connections they already have open.
- A team change the server refuses for good is retired instead of being re-sent on every reconnect.
- The context-usage indicator hides itself for agents that cannot report usage, instead of sitting at 0%.
- Arrow keys move through the @-mention list in document comments.
- A background shell command killed when its turn ends is reported as killed, with how long it ran.
- A file open in an editor tab no longer silently reverts changes made to it on disk; it stops saving, retries, and tells you.
- Shared Docs stays in the navigation rail when the team lookup is slow or times out at launch.
- Shared trackers and team documents connect within moments of launch instead of taking up to half a minute.
- The Set Status menu on a tracker card scrolls, and offers only statuses the selected items can actually hold.
Fixed
- Installs that came up with an empty database now open the one that actually holds their sessions.
Added
- Shared Docs navigation now shows an unread badge.
Changed
- Inbox access now lives in the left navigation.
- Account sync settings now call cross-device synchronization “Mobile Sync.”
Fixed
- Existing databases are never set aside without confirmation, and unsafe storage migrations stop before copying lost data.
- Interrupted saves no longer empty files, while explicit saves can still clear them.
- Questions, plan approvals, and commit proposals remain answerable after the agent moves on.
- Windows and Teams surfaces use the active theme background instead of flashing or staying white.
- Trackers load after organization initialization and reliably show or allocate local item numbers.
- Completed background sessions remain unread until you view them.
Fixed
- A new install stays on the faster storage engine instead of being switched to the old one after its first launch.
- A momentary database startup failure no longer empties your sessions and history: Nimbalyst retries before setting the database aside.
- When the database will not start, Nimbalyst now lists the backups it holds and can reveal them, instead of telling you to delete your database folder.
Added
- The tracker sidebar collapses and reopens like every other mode's — the Tracker icon, Cmd+T, or the title-bar control.
- Expand the active tab to fill the window from View > Toggle Expanded Tab or with Shift+Escape, in any view mode.
- Your organization's inbox, rooms, and direct messages open in the project window as an Organization mode, with mentions, assigned work, and owed replies as their own rows.
Changed
- Sync no longer takes up a spot in the left gutter: its state reads as a single line in the account menu, and a sync problem shows on your avatar.
Fixed
- A shared document that can no longer display collaborators' changes now says so, instead of continuing to report itself as synced.
- Typing @ in a document comment finds people again when the team list arrives late, and now matches on either a person's name or their email address.
- A tracker item shows its number as soon as it is created, instead of staying blank until the list is refreshed.
- A project that belongs to no organization now offers to add it to one you pick, or to a new one, instead of suggesting a single organization at random.
- The organization inbox no longer comes up empty when the app starts up faster than it can sign you in.
Added
- Shared spreadsheets, mockups, and Excalidraw diagrams open and edit in the web console, with live presence between the desktop app and the browser.
- Ask a teammate for structured feedback: your agent drafts the question, it lands in their inbox with the artifacts it is about, and anyone can answer in a browser.
- Spreadsheets gain date-time, time, checkbox, link, and tracker columns, cell styling, accounting and scientific number formats, and date arithmetic in formulas.
- Trackers hide closed work by default, with an Open / All / Closed switch on every view, Won't Do and Duplicate statuses, and Owner and Due Date across the All view.
- Tracker items that have not been shared yet get a number of their own, like NIM.12, so you can refer to one before it is published.
- A file link that names a line opens the file scrolled to that line instead of the top.
- Desktop notifications carry their own icon, so a finished agent, a question, an approval request, and a teammate's message are distinguishable at a glance.
- Entities and relationships a teammate has selected in a shared data model show their name and color.
- The Files pane and session tips now offer a way into Teams.
Changed
- Nimbalyst takes far less disk: fewer and now-adjustable database backups, no more storing enormous command output, and an option to discard old tool output.
- Nimbalyst upgrades its local database to the faster storage engine on its own, restarting when it finishes and staying on the old one if anything goes wrong.
- Mockup project files can no longer be shared to a team, since their screens do not yet sync between people.
- Opening an editor no longer fetches a font from a third-party server.
- Codex no longer offers slash commands it cannot run, and Compact is hidden for agents that cannot compact.
- The inbox's message pane can be dragged to the width you want and stays on screen at far more window sizes.
- Long agent sessions that edit many files, and project sync hashing, no longer slow the rest of the app down.
Fixed
- Shared spreadsheets, diagrams, mockups, and data models no longer drop edits when two people work in them at once.
- Opening a shared document whose editor you do not have names the extension you need and offers to install it.
- Shared mockup files now have a source pane, so their content can be edited collaboratively.
- The results column in a shared calc sheet no longer goes blank until you type again.
- Collaborator avatars and the sync indicator no longer flicker on every character you type in a shared document.
- Collaborators in a shared spreadsheet, diagram, or mockup come back after a network blip instead of the list emptying and staying empty.
- Team messages, mentions, and notifications arrive when the app finishes starting before you are signed in.
- Push notifications reach the phone you walked away from, and a session blocked on your answer or one that errored reaches you at your computer too.
- Tracker items keep their owner in a shared workspace.
- Feedback requests validate attached artifacts before publishing and keep artifact links in their originating team project.
- Cutting spreadsheet cells can be undone, and undoing a deleted range restores those cells instead of overwriting the first one.
- A spreadsheet edit that fails to save stays marked unsaved instead of looking saved while the file on disk was unchanged.
- A milestone or release reports the progress it really has: type-specific closing statuses count, abandoned items no longer hold it below 100%, in-review is not done.
- Closing an item from a commit message sets a status that item's type actually offers.
- Milestones, goals, and collections read as their own name in lanes, headers, chips, and columns instead of a raw id or a stale name.
- Tracker date, link, and people chips carry their field name, so an item with two dates or several links no longer needs a hover to tell them apart.
- Picking a grouping or ordering in the tracker's Display Settings works instead of closing the panel without changing anything.
- A Claude Code CLI session no longer hangs when the CLI asks you to confirm a model switch.
- A session leaves Thinking when a Claude Code turn ends with a shell task still running. (#1246, contributed by @hajee)
- A resumed CLI session no longer replays a synthesized user message, and the CLI's prompt-suggestion fork is no longer read as session activity. (#1272, contributed by @tlee-nymbl)
- Typed input in an agent prompt widget no longer disappears when the prompt changes underneath it. (#1218, contributed by @forcewalkerneo)
- An unresponsive renderer no longer wedges the main process behind a dialog you cannot see. (#807, contributed by @co-cy)
- Opening an extension panel while an agent session is running no longer takes the whole window down.
- Starting an agent after moving, renaming, or deleting the project folder names the missing folder instead of reporting a broken agent binary.
- Codex file edits show a red/green diff again, Codex sessions show context usage, Compact works, and your skills reach Codex.
- A Codex session that cannot resume says so instead of starting over with an empty history while still showing the old conversation.
- A Codex tool server that fails to start shows as failed instead of the agent quietly losing its tools.
- The effort level you select applies to Claude Code CLI sessions instead of being ignored. (#996, contributed by @Derazien)
- MCP servers configured for a specific project in Claude Code load on Windows instead of being silently ignored. (#1317, contributed by @Derazien)

- Long transcripts no longer slow down matching tool calls against unbounded history. (#1144, contributed by @Yogitmeister)
- Text in the git Output tab is selectable.
- A full-screen window has a visible way out again: an exit button in the title bar, and on macOS the window buttons reappear at the top of the screen.
- The inbox's organization filter no longer opens onto an empty menu when there is nothing to narrow by.
Fixed
- Repositories with more than a page of open pull requests no longer show only the first page, and accented characters in PR titles no longer come through garbled.
- Nimbalyst comes to the front once when launch finishes, instead of sometimes staying hidden behind other apps after a slow start.
- Opening the menu bar sessions panel no longer drops Nimbalyst out of the Dock and the app switcher.
Added
- Group the tracker board into lanes by milestone, goal, or any other field, placing work by dragging a card, using the chip on it, or selecting several at once.
- A Timeline view lays tracker work out over time, grouped the same way the board is.
- Plans still marked draft after a linked session committed now carry a chip naming the commits that disagree.
- Clicking the menu bar icon on macOS opens a sessions panel with the same rows as the in-app popover, showing each session's provider, model, elapsed time, and project instead of a list that ran off the screen.
Changed
- View mode, grouping, and ordering now live together in the tracker's Display Settings panel.
- The tracker sidebar's personal and team groups collapse under compact one-line headers, team first, and both the groups and folders remember their state across restarts.
Fixed
- Sessions waiting on a question or a permission prompt now show as awaiting your input in the sidebar and on mobile, instead of looking like they are still running.
- Confirmation dialogs now close when you answer them, so removing a member no longer leaves the prompt stuck on screen.
- Organization Messages opens on an organization you can actually use instead of stranding you on a screen waiting for a membership that never loads.
- The slash-command palette shows each command and skill's own description again, along with its correct icon and grouping, instead of a generic placeholder.

- Linked local files can pull the latest Shared Document content from the editor header.
- Shared document version history previews the contents of each earlier version before you restore it.

- Read, write, and reply to shared document comments in the browser, with `@`-mentions reaching the person's inbox.
- Signing in to a team walks you into your organization's project, and Account settings can open a project in any organization you belong to.
- Organization owners and admins can remove a member or revoke a pending invitation from Members & Roles.
Fixed
- Agents reading a web page no longer receive what you typed into its form fields.
- A shared document you may only read now says so, instead of silently retrying the refused save.

- A file that repeatedly fails to save now shows a Retry banner instead of autosave looping on it forever.
Fixed
- Windows release builds sign and publish again.
Fixed
- Tracker items shared with a team now get the same issue key for everyone, instead of each member's app assigning its own number to the same item.
- Simply opening a tracker item no longer bumps its "Updated" time or adds a phantom edit to its history.
Removed

Added
- Open a shared project that is not a git repository by choosing a folder for it in your organization's project list.
- A Renders tab in the Developer Dashboard that reports which components re-render, how often, and why.
Changed
- The CSV Spreadsheet extension now computes formulas live and keeps them after a save, and adds find and replace, per-column filters, and AI tools for analyzing data and applying formulas.
- The Git panel's Changes tab is now one compact, collapsible list with no staging step: tick the files you want and commit them, or hand the selection to AI to write the message.
Fixed
- Codex sessions using parallel sub-agents now wait for the lead agent's final response instead of ending when the first child finishes.
- Sending a queued prompt immediately no longer leaves the session stuck as running with the prompt never delivered.
- Committing from the Git panel works again, renamed files show up, and discarding also undoes staged changes without touching files you did not select.
- The Git panel's file mask is remembered per project again, instead of resetting every time you reopen the panel.
- A spawned session's completion notification no longer repeats its entire original prompt back to the session that started it.
- Reloading an extension now rebuilds it first, so your latest changes actually load.

- When a session edits the same file several times, the red/green diff shows the whole set of changes again instead of only the last one.
- Everyone on a team now sees the same tracker fields: a schema your team shares wins over an old copy on your machine, instead of silently freezing that type and hiding fields like Collections from you.
- Customizing a shared tracker type now reaches your teammates, and a second open project no longer swaps another window's tracker types for the built-in ones.
Added
- Undo and redo in the tracker table with Cmd+Z and Cmd+Shift+Z, covering cell edits, paste, bulk status and priority changes, and archiving.
Fixed
- A newly created organization now appears in the profile menu of every open window right away.
- A project with no git remote can now be added to an organization you already administer.
Removed
- The tracker table's drag-to-clone handle, which was easy to hit by accident and silently rewrote a whole column.
Added
- Spreadsheets support find, replace, and per-column filters, opened with Cmd+F.
- The AI can analyze a spreadsheet's columns for data-quality problems and apply a formula across a range.
Changed
- Setting up an organization no longer asks you to pick starter chat rooms, going straight from invites to finished.
- Dragging a spreadsheet selection past the edge of the view now scrolls the grid.
- Spreadsheets are read-only while you review AI changes, and the review bar says so.
Fixed
- Spreadsheet formulas now calculate on open and stay formulas on save, instead of showing as raw text and saving as plain numbers.
- Arrow keys and Home/End move the cursor within a spreadsheet cell you are editing instead of jumping to another cell.
- Spreadsheets use the app font, right-align numbers, have a more compact header, and no longer show a white gutter block in dark themes.
- Sharing a file to your team works again; a share that does fail no longer leaves an empty document behind.
- Referencing a shared mockup or diagram with `@` inside a shared document now inserts a live embed instead of a plain link.
- Unsent team-message drafts now return when you revisit a conversation and stay cleared after sending.
- Setting up an organization no longer leaves the account menu showing "No organization" and AI requests failing to authenticate.

- Tracker date columns read as "Today", "Tomorrow", or "in 5 days", with the full date on hover.
- Git command output no longer shows raw terminal color codes around messages from hooks and failed commands.
Added
- Organizations can now be created from a released build, not only in development builds.
- The organization inbox is reachable from any project: a title-bar button badges unread messages, and the account menu gains a Messages entry.
- Spreadsheets can freeze columns and header rows again, and a selection now spans the frozen edge whether you drag it, select all, or copy it.
Changed
- Double-clicking a cell in the tracker table now edits it in place; the key, type and date columns still open the item.
- Inbox rows are shorter and lead with what each delivery points at, with unread and source-type filters and a click that previews instead of navigating away.
- The sessions popover in the gutter is wider, drag-resizable, and gives each session title a full row so long titles are readable.
Fixed
- Yes/no questions from the agent now show both answers as pickable buttons and wait for you to choose, instead of a single control that submitted "no" untouched.
- Team conversations open on the newest message and follow the one you send, while holding your place if you have scrolled up to read.
- Shared documents and team collaboration connect again after the sync server started rejecting the desktop app's connections.
- Shared documents retry sync after a sign-in token refresh fails, instead of sitting on a connection that never comes back.

- Sessions no longer show as running after their work finished, so prompts queued behind an interrupted or background-task session send.
- SSE-transport MCP servers that use OAuth reach your sessions again, and a server left out because it needs authorizing is now listed as such.
- MCP servers whose provider refuses dynamic client registration can be authorized with a client ID you enter, and the error names that cause.
- Tracker items in list and table views now expose their action menu without requiring a right-click.
- Tracker date fields now show the day you entered, instead of the day before if your time zone is behind UTC.

- Changing a project's permission mode now applies to agent sessions that are already running.
- Prompts you queue from the phone leave the queued list once the agent picks them up.
- Tables exported to PDF now span the full page width with content-sized columns, instead of collapsing into a narrow strip.
Added

- Tracker items can now open as full documents with collaborative editing, inline comments, consistent editable field chips (including collection creation), keyboard-driven search and filters, shared-document navigation, a side-by-side AI chat panel, and a visible action to copy shareable reopen links.

- The Agent mode header gains a pin toggle, and worktrees now show the worktree icon and their worktree name.
Changed

- Signing in now hands back to the copy of Nimbalyst that started it rather than through a system-wide link handler.
- Turning an MCP server off for Claude now also turns it off for Claude Code outside Nimbalyst in that project, because Nimbalyst records it the same way Claude Code does.
Fixed
- Checking for updates no longer fails outright when the newest release tag has no published downloads behind it; the app falls back to the most recent version that does.
- Cancelling a Codex session now stops it for good, instead of the session sliding back into a running state seconds later after its turn had already failed.
- Find-in-document now highlights matches inside inline code, and comment highlights are visible on commented inline code.
- Source files containing NUL separators now render as text in GitHub reviews instead of appearing as binary changes.
- Queued prompts now run on their own: a prompt sent from your phone opens the project and runs it, prompts left over from a quit resume once the project is open again, and a prompt that arrives mid-turn runs when the turn ends — no more pressing Escape or restarting to release the queue. (#962)
- Web search and web fetch no longer fail in Claude Code CLI sessions running at max effort.
- Sharing a plan or decision now produces a link your teammates can actually open, and the sharer edits the same collaborative content everyone else sees instead of quietly staying on their local file. Items shared earlier can be unshared and shared again to pick this up, keeping the content that has been edited since.
- An AI session that reports its previous conversation has expired now genuinely starts fresh on the next message, instead of repeating the same expiration error forever. (#1098)

- Embedded mockups and diagrams written as a plain relative link inside a shared document now open the shared copy instead of failing to load.

- Shared-document references no longer make recovery exports empty or turn into tracker links.
- Tracker sidebar type counts no longer read 0 for types that have items, and listing archived items no longer comes back empty.
- Committing with the AI commit widget no longer leaves the just-committed files showing as deleted or reverted, and no longer discards changes you staged elsewhere at the same time.

- OpenCode no longer stays disabled for the rest of the session when its server is slow to start; a slow start now retries or adopts the ready server, and a missing OpenCode CLI reports a clear error.

- Importing Mermaid diagrams into Excalidraw works again: flowcharts (including subgraphs) become editable shapes instead of failing or degrading to a broken image, and AI-added arrows no longer lose their labels.
